my original thought process ad reflection

24/02/2015-
1. a series of surrealism photos which represent different segments of alice in wonderland
2. combine photography with sketches
3. regular photo edited to seem surreal

my reflection.
in my ideas i took a series of photos in which i played about with 2 to try and make them look more surreal. i one i played about with all the filters and slight colour change. in the other i used the opening tab when you open an image on ps.
next week i will come into the lesson with more photos and some siluettes which represent alice in wonderland.

10/3/2015-
in this session i am going to continue to edit the photos i took last session. i will also be drawing the illustrations up in todays session. personally, i don't really like how this project has stared off because i don't feel like I'm engaging with my ideas, it just feels as if my starting idea is weak and i should try and change direction of this project.

at the end of todays session i have explored many different avenues to combine sports and surreal environments with different photography techniques such as, stop motion and enhancing shutter speed.

Perspectives

this is the beginning of a single point perspective. single point meaning  every angle is based from that one point.
this is a three point perspective. where all the left sides of the building come from the left angle and same thing for other side. also all the verticals are made from the x at the bottom of the page.
these are examples of 1,2 and 3 point perspectives. I've also used

Other experiments

This is the first piece of work i did for this unit. In this piece i experimented with optical illusions and making focal points a little bit on the right. his is because i was trying to understand how to make a eye catching abstracted piece without taking any inspiration from real life objects e.g- building, people, animals etc.

in these pieces i decided to take slight inspiration from dal life objects but abstract them that much so it wouldn't look like them. in the left piece i took inspiration from city skylines with the sky scrapers and the fancy railings and sun set hence the yellow/orange tones.

doodle art

this image i like because of the craziness of the design and how all the focus is put on the text.

the two images above really inspired my work as when i started thinking about the doodle idea i wanted to look into certain art piece which incorporated doodling. however, my favourite one out of the 2 is this one because it incorporates the purposeful, story telling which i got from researching into alan fletcher and is key to the viewer as its actually has to make them think.

this image i chose because i didn't like the way it was laid out for example if the viewer were to look at this they wouldn't know where to look or what the message of the piece was.

3D project timeline

after looking into henry moore i looked into easter island heads just out of curiosity

Actual Brief Of Unit 87

Section 1:
My subject area is photography and the current research I have done is look into photographers and videographers to help me understand what kind of work they do. I also watched the latest Alice in Wonderland film to try and make myself understand what kinds of things I could do for my project. As the film is loosely base on impossible things which I can translate into making a bmx edit/porfolio because to many people see the things boxers do are widly reguarded as impossible

Section 2:
I'm referencing videographers such as John hicks and Walter peiring, photographers such as and films which have bike scenes in them. The reason for this is because I want to incorporate something I like and Alice in wounderland to start off my project which will then develop into a series of photos and a bmx video/ documentary essc.
This will be developed further when we go on trips specifically to get references for this project these references will be from artist work and locations we travel to.

Section 3:
The mtp's I will be using is my camera to take the photos and Photoshop to enhance images in order to make them surreal.
The techniques I'll be using is surrealism and I'll be using a software called Twitter which super slomos videos to the point in which they stop

Liverpool

The first gallery we went to was the walker art gallery which had a range of different kinds of art how ever there was an abundance of history based art work which I really didn't like and I just seemed to walk round aimlessly and without much purpose. We then went to the blue coat centre which was actually really interesting because it was different to anything I've seen before for example there was a translucent block in a corner of a black room which had neon lights coming out of it and when I asked one of the supervisors they explained it was to represent a party in which you aren't invited to. We then left the blue coat centre and had a lunch break, after lunch me and will went to the open eye gallery which was a series of photos about Japan after the atomic bomb and I found the landscape photography interesting as its all weathered and destroyed architecture which gave the impression of the struggle that the country was having during this time. We then went to the Tate and met up with the rest of the class. We looked around the Tate for about half an hour and we then went to Andy Warhol exibition which was really interesting and my favourite bit about it was the soup piece which after talking to Jon told me he drew soup cans because that's all he ever used to have when he went to his mums house.
