The parts which don't work well are the handles to support the head so it didn't fall. To get around this I would create a chest and back plate which would be able sustain the weight of my mask without my partner having to hold anything. Therefore, she could act as the character more believably. Another issue I had was that the hat wasn't held on properly so in time it started to fall and break. To solve this problem I am going to glue it to the mask and give it more strength on the inside so it stays balanced and doesn't fall apart.

caricaturists
I've looked into caricatures of celebrities because i think it would be interesting to do the characters of alice in wonderland as caricatures for example
Will Smith
Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)
Jack Black
Barack Obama
Bruce Lee
ive chose each of these because they all used different styles for example Barack Obama has a very bold outline and not rely much detailed tonal work yet you can still tell its him. Whereas, the Bruce Lee caricature has a lot of detailed tonal work which makes the piece look even more like him and you can really see the difference between the amounts of effort each artist used.
illustrator research - John Tenniel
john Tenniel is an english illustrator, graphic humorist and political cartoonist who's work was prominent during the second half of the 19th century.
He illustrated for both alice and wonderland
He illustrated for both alice and wonderland
where in this illustration you can see alice playing with the puppy.
he also illustrated for alice in wonderland through the looking glass
personally i like his style of illustration which is very dark and detailed with the scales on the dragon and the texture on the trees.

final piece evaluation
THE SPITTING CHIP FRIER
Scene 1:This scene is where Senior Onion starts his thought process too kill the civilians of the chip frier.
Scene 2:This is where he and his vegetables descends in a hot air balloon. whilst the innocent civilians look confused at the basket filled with veg.
Scene 3:This is where Senior Onion direct his veg too "kill them all" and the civilians of the chip frier aren't of an aggressive nature therefore didn't fight back. Hence, getting captured by Senior Onion.
Scene 4:This is where Senior Onion takes the civilians.
Scene 5: the veg are about too push the civilians down the compost whole whilst Senior Onion looks on.
Scene 6:This is the entrance of Chap and his men who show up and are wanting too stop Senior Onion.
Scene 7:The fight scene where Chap tackles Senior Onion.
Scene 8: Chap and Senior Onion herbal down the compost whole with no signs of stopping.
Scene 9: The compost whole erupts due to the sheer velocity of Chaps and Senior Onion decent.
The moral of my final piece is that you should always do the right thing which fits in with my age group well (4-8) as it teaches them right from wrong at an early age and i think if id of put a more meaning full moral behind it id of had too of changed the age group as a younger audience may struggle with understanding.
Overall, my final piece could of been improved by having a front cover and a back cover, having more scenes to fill in some of the gaps in the story and maybe more dialog. The front cover would of added more visual engagement toot he viewer and would of told the viewer more clearly what the story is going too be about. The additional scenes will make sure the viewer will stay engaged with the story and not get lost or confused. The dialog now this is a confusing place as if i added too much the my target audience would of become confused and bored yet if there wasn't enough then they wouldn't understand whats happening and also become bored, so if i were too add more dialog i would of put it on the 4th and 5th scenes just so there was no confusion when reading.
Any future plans would be too create a series of comic strips which contain the same characters and morals but with the improvements above.
Explosion research
these are just a few different types of explosions. I've looked into explosions because my final scene will be a cliff hanger which involves the main character and the villain getting caught up in a giant explosion too save the civilians.
another thing i looked at was the slomo guys too see what actually happens when something explodes, this helped me get my head around how too illustrate the explosion. an examples is the melon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMjL76obRLI
dragon ball z research
In the fight scenes of my comic i took a lot of my inspiration from the kids tv show dragon ball z. This is due to the fact that the tv show is pretty much based around epic fight scenes for example:
In my comic i tried to make it look similar to the first image.
i also like the fire ball sort of effect in the second picture, the colours they are using and how they've desaturated the background too make the entire scenes focal to be on the meeting of the flames.
