Metamorphosis start

Metamorphosis is a epic poem which is split up into 15 different books. the section we are looking at is about Diana and Actaeon which happens to be in book 3. The very few lines about Diana and Actaeon are set between 43 BC and 17 AD which is basically the life and death of Actaeon. 

The story of Actaeon and Diana is basically about Actaeon hunting with his friends whilst looking for fresh water and food. Actaeon enters a cave but happens to run into Diana bathing in the fresh water, she splashes him out of anger and turns him into a stag. He rushes out after seeing his reflection. His dogs pick up his scent and kill him whilst his friends cheer the dogs on because they now have food.
