These are the first simplistic templates I did as samples for the packaging for my earphone case. I chose a cuboid because it's a simple easy design and it's easily stackable on shelves etc. I created the template for this in illustrator and used the shift key too get perfectly straight vertical and horizontal lines, I also used exact measurements for each section of it. All the squares were 40x40 and the rectangles were 40x125 and the tabs were 15x125 or 15x40 because I had two tabs on each end of the cuboid. The tabs also slightly faced inwards so that there were no issues getting into it.
